WHAT IS PASSIVATION?
Passivation is a recommended process to be done after cleaning metal surfaces to enhance its protection from corrosion and adds a protective layer that metal loses over time. Through a chemical process passivation works by removing iron atoms from the surface and enhances the chromium oxide layer that protects the metal from corrosion.
